A cordura buffer pad is sewn on a sling to give fixed protection at expected wear points. They can be sewn anywhere on the sling, at any length, on one side or both sides.*
A cordura buffer web is sewn around the edge of the sling. May be necessary for certain applications where the sling edges are subject to damage.*
* Type 6 & Type 7 can be combined to create a full body wrap.
A cordura buffer is sometimes called a sliding sleeve. It is ideal for handling material with less rounded edges because the sleeve does not move when the sling stretches and adjusts to the load.**
** Type 8: Quick sleeve with velcro one side available upon request
TYPE 8 H.D.:
The heavy duty Type 8 is made of 9800# nylon webbing. This sleeve is twice as thick as cordura and more feasible around rough, abrasive lifts.
